Pinhole Camera Workshop FAQs
What Is A Pinsta Camera?
A Pinsta camera is a pinhole camera, darkroom, and enlarger all in one! They use a peak quality, double chemically-etched pinhole to take photos on paper or film. Pinsta cameras also have a unique method for applying chemistry intravenously, meaning you can develop your shots in-camera and on the spot, using refillable syringes.
Pinsta can also be used to enlarge your 35mm, 645, and 6x6 negatives onto 4x5 photographic papers, or on-site developing of 4x5 format paper or film.
Where Are Pinsta Cameras Made?
Pinsta cameras, like those explained in the online pinhole camera workshop, are handmade in Warwickshire, England. Our skilled craftsmen make our cameras in much the same way, and using many of the same techniques, as carpenters.
28 individual components are hand-finished and assembled to create your pinhole camera, with the time taken to handle every piece with care.

How Does The Pinsta Camera Achieve A Positive Image?
Pinsta’s pinhole camera uses HARMAN 4x5 direct positive paper. This product allows your prints to come out positive, with a normal development and fix process. The best part? You don’t need a dark room! The Pinsta camera can do it all in-camera.
Why Should I Choose A Pinsta Camera?
Our parent company, Novacrylics Engineering, has deep roots in traditional photography. In the 1980s, Harry Graham New formed Nova Darkroom as a partnership. When the partners of the company decided to part ways, Henry formed Novacrylics Engineering.
The company produced photographic equipment for Nova Darkroom for years, which eventually became Imaging Warehouse and still uses our products to this day. We believe in what we do, so why not start your pinhole camera journey today?
