  • Do You Need a Film Changing Bag?

Yes - absolutely! A film changing bag is key if you’re working with sensitive film or photographic paper. They don’t come as standard in our Pinsta-Pro 8x10 and 4x5 pinhole camera kits, but you will need one reload paper or transfer negatives on the go, without access to a darkroom.

  • How Does a Changing Bag Work?

This changing bag is a practical tool for both beginners and experienced photographers using a pinhole camera. The light-proof bag allows you to load and unload film into your pinhole camera in complete darkness. This is vital as film can go blurry, get washed out, or even change colour if exposed to light.

  • What Can You Use It For?

This bag isn't just for Pinsta pinhole cameras. It’s versatile enough for:

    • Reloading film into large and medium format cameras

    • Transferring negatives for development

    • Handling sensitive materials like direct-positive photographic paper

  • How Do I Clean a Film Developing Dark Bag?

Keeping your bag clean and dust-free is vital to ensure your film prints remain clear.

Wipe the interior and exterior after every use with a damp cloth, and dry with a towelette afterwards. Avoid using harsh chemicals that might degrade the light-proof material.
